I recently downloaded the free world music sampler from Apple students via facebook/ iTunes. It's pretty cool I'd say. I guess it is supposed to be songs with international musical influences. I can't quite identify where though. But I'm always looking for ways to expand my musical horizons! I should probably last.fm every last one of these songs. But I've got bigger things to worry about.
Like preparing for my last final of the semester. I finally read the texts and chose which poems I'm going to write about. I'm not feeling too overwhelmed by it either. It's in class but we are allowed to bring an outline. So I'm just going to take the next few days to analyze the poems' structure and messages. And talk a little bit about vanguardia and bada bing bada boom. haha.
Yesterday was such a rough day. I had 2 finals and my translation project due. I wanted to run into a wall by 4pm yesterday. I ended up going home and doing my favorite thing to calm me down: grocery shopping. I don't know why that calms me, but it does. I like it better in American supermarkets though because at the ones here they have lots of seafood like octopus and sting rays and other really weird things that stink up the whole store.
I was supposed to go salsa-ing with one of my friends last night, but I took a nap and when I woke up I felt really nauseous. I ended up vomiting and thinking that I had the swine flu, but I ddn't have a fever or chills or sore throat or headache or anything. I think it just had to do with the copious ammounts of oil I consumed yesterday. My stomach doesn't like oil too much. And today I feel fine. Which is good because Xaver comes today! His plane should be landing in about 2.5 hours. That in itself makes me not want to study for my latin american literature exam, but I know I should because I won't do it while he's here. Or, I might have to make myself do it. haha.
I realized today that there are only 20 days until I'm back in the USA. eep!
Keep me updated on things with Xaver. ;)
