We all know this now. But it's so funny being here. I'm with my cousin on my mom's side and she has only bee in the UK for 8 years so she's still got a lot of African influence. For example, she gets pretty offended when I don't eat as much as she gives me, constantly saying that I'm too thin (although I've gotten pretty plump the past 4 months), and tries to involve me in the drama that "surrounds" her and everyone else's life. And always complains. My mom used to tell me stories about West African women like that. It's just pretty funny. We kind of clash because I can't really read her. I try to hang around her for a while, like when she's cooking, but I'd rather just be in the other room by myself. And it's nothing personal against her, it's just what I'm used to. I hope I don't offend her by that. In a lot of ways, she reminds me of my late grandmother Evelyn Johnson. Well I mean, she is her grandaughter, but she looks more like my grandmother than I do. And she says that I look like my mom did when I was young. Sometimes I can see that! But I also think that Hazel looks a LOT like my mom did when she was younger. haha. But I don't really look like Hazel. *rolls eyes* anyway, I'm thankful that they are hosting me and I am getting to eat really good food and who knows when I will be able to eat it again.
6 days until I'm home.
...I think I'll go into London on Monday to see the British Museum and tour the BBC. :-)
