Frankfurt aka Mainhattan

I spent the major part of Saturday walking around cold and rainy Frankfurt.  That is definitely the most diverse city Ive been in so far in Germany.  There was even a store\salon that sold products for ethnic hair.
Xaver met up with me and we went to the Senckenberg Museum.  I was excited to see the dinosaur skeletons but since it was a natural history museum I knew there would be large spiders and I was right. No sooner than I walked in did i spot HUGE spiders behind these glass cases.  They were dead but still so big and scary.  I felt like I wanted to die, vomit and cry all at the same time.   But I managed to walk past there into the room with the dinosaur skeletons and I eventually felt better.

I was sort of disappointed with the size of the exhibition.  Especially because I had to pay 6 euros.  I guess I was expecting more of like the Smithsonian but nontheless it was still cool to see the bones.  A couple of the skeletons were the actual fossils that they had found but many of the real ones are actually in New York City.

After the museum we tried to find the old part of the city but instead walked around a shopping area.  At this point though that was okay because it was just so cold (at least for me) and the rain was annoying.  We looked for silly bandz but couldnt find any.  Then we went to eat in what apparently was like the chinatown of Frankfurt. Actually, it was where all the different ethnic neighborhoods were.  I got a huge plate of fried rice for 5 euros so for me it was a good deal.

By the end of the day, I was so tired and ready to just fall asleep.  So that's exactly what I did.
