People watchin'

I thought it would be a good idea to do a post about the people here but I'm not exactly sure what to say. Usually when I people watch, I find something to either criticize or compare myself with. And neither of those things are all that interesting. But since this is my blog and I can make it as boring as I want, I'm gonna write about people anyway!!!

Generally the younger female crowd reminds me a lot of those teeny boppers that hang out at Short Pump and run around with their new fangled cell phones whispering to their friends about how they are going to be mean to Chris because in reality they have a huge crush on him, meanwhile huddling together in herds making it hard for me to walk. Anyway, the Spanish girls seem really fashionable and by fashionable, they dress in a way that is super weird to me but to those in people, it's really cool. I don't see anything attractive about jeans that sag in "seat" but are tight around the calves.

The boys on the other hand are a little bit more "normal." The young ones (like elementary school age) are so adorable. Their school uniforms consist of short pants and knee socks. I think the boys for the most part are just like American teenage boys except their jeans are a little different. Instead of regular pockets that are mostly square, they have huge geometric pockets.

I'm not sure if you are familiar with Pharrel's Billionaire's Boys Club... I'm not sure if it is his clothing line or whatever it is, but I think this jacket is a recreation. Some of the young fellows think its cool to dress "gangster."



More random people. We have the old guy staring at the 3 guys who are younger than he is and thinking "what has the world come to." Then there is the 'musician' who is only carrying the guitar to look cool. Little does he know how unattractive mullets are so no matter how cool he wants to be, it won't ever happen until he cuts that hair. Then the guy in the middle is just trying to cross the street and the guy on the far right is thinking up his next project whether it be a song he will write or a canvas that he is going to paint.

Another aspect that takes some getting used to is the PDA. I hate it, and yet its EVERYWHERE!

I had to sneak attack this picture but as you can see, there is a little couple just chillin on the street corner being all romantic... or gross; it's your call. Oh shit... is that my shadow?

I'll just say that Spain has some really cool people that have a style all their own.
