Countrified dinner

Last night was probably the loudest night of Fallas. I guess that was because today was a holiday and no one had to work. I think I drifted in and out of sleep for about 5 hours. I woke up at 10 something when my friend called to let me know that we were supposed to meet at 11. We looked at some fallas and then had an early lunch at Miss Sushi. I had a bunch of tempura things... typical. haha. I did however discover that I prefer sushi to rolls. It's still not one of my favorite foods however. After that, I bought Eclipse, the third book in the Twilight series. I'm excited to start it. After lunch we went to the plaza de la virgin to see the giant Mary covered in flowers. I'll post pictures later. There were so many people. We then proceded back to our side of town where we split ways, but I went with Lauren to get stuff for our countrified dinner tonight! She is going to fry chicken and I'm going to make mashed potatoes and another girl is bringing brownies and ice cream!! I'm so excited. The problem is that since is a holiday, the grocery stores are closed! The only stores open are the mini Latino and Arabic stores. Lucky for us, we found an Arabic butchers shop. We got a whole chicken (with the head) for €5.35 the guy cut it in pieces for us. There was a cow head in there with all the other meats and that was kind of gross, for lack of better words. The whole thing was gross. And made me remember why I used to be a vegetarian. Needless to say, I'm pretty excited about tonight. We are going to watch Arrested Development and eat American food with lots of spice!
